Happy first day of Spring! I’ve been gathering up a few new products that are perfect for the spring and summer months and I can’t wait to share some of them with you. Today I’ve created a look that is focused on glowing skin. I kept it simple on the eyes and added a pop of pink on the lips. The spring and summer seasons are a perfect time to play with colorful lips and neutral eyes. The combinations are endless! Here is the look I created along with a list of products I used.
Primer – Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector (on center of forehead, nose, chin, and inner parts of cheeks – where I tend to get oily) and Make Up For Ever Step 1 Equalizer Smoothing Primer (on rest of face).
Color Corrector – Color correcting is going to be huge this spring, so I’ve decided to test out the Algenist Reveal Concentrated Color Correcting Drops. You can mix this in with your primer, moisturizer, or foundation, but I applied it directly to any redness after applying primer. The green drops will counteract any redness on the skin.
Foundation – Today I used the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup (which is a tad too dark for my skin right now) mixed in with some Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation to lighten it up. I wasn’t very impressed with how these two foundations mixed together, so I will be trying other combinations in the future.
Concealer – Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Concealer
Setting Powder – Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder
Bronzer – Mac Give Me Sun Mineralize SkinFinish
Highlighter – ColourPop Super Shock Cheek in Wisp
Filler – As I just ran out of my Anastasia of Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, I decided to pick up the new ABH Brow Definer. So far I am really liking it. It is much quicker and easier for me to fill in my brows.
Setting Gel – Anastasia of Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel
Crease – Mac Give Me Sun (bronzer)
Top Liner – Maybeline Eyestudio Gel Liner in Blackest Black
Lashes – Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
If you are interested in the blush, blush topper, eye shadow, mascara, or lip products, check out the Sephora Favorites – Paint It Pink set. It comes with a full size Beauty Blender, full size lipstick, full size eyeshadow, and mini versions of a blush, blush topper/highlighter (depending on your skin tone – it was too dark to use as a highlighter on me), nail polish, lip gloss, and my favorite mascara. The whole set is only $40 which is a great deal! The Beauty Blender ($20) and the eye shadow ($19) just about covers the cost of the whole set, so you’re getting a steal. The sets will probably sell out fast, so hurry! These products are all great for spring makeup looks 🙂
Hope you enjoyed and got some ideas for spring!
