I know it’s been way too long since I’ve posted, but I’m back! And I’m back with an exciting post. I finally got my hands on the Becca and Jaclyn Hill face palette! I am so excited to play with this baby. I’ve done some swatches and played around with layering, and I love it so far! Keep reading if you want to see how I achieve my perfect summer glow.
My favorite summertime makeup look is bronze, glowing skin, with an emphasis on lashes – such a quick and simple, yet fresh faced look.
Anyone who’s read any of my previous posts probably knows that I’m obsessed with the Becca Jaclyn Hill highlighter Champagne Pop. This new palette includes this highlighter, as well as a new one called Prosecco Pop. Prosecco Pop has a more golden tone to it and looks great on sun kissed skin. This palette also includes three blush shades called Rosé Spritz, Amaretto, and Pamplemousse. Rosé Spritz is a luminous blush that is a rosy pink shade. Amaretto and Pamplemousse are mineral blushes that have a slight satin finish. Amaretto is a bronzy shade that can be used as a blush on people with darker skin tones, or bronzer on those with fairer skin. All of the shades are super creamy and highly pigmented.

The palette has a really big mirror which I really like and the packaging is beautiful. It would be a great palette to travel with because there is a lot of product in a compact palette.
The only thing I don’t love about the packaging is that I find the case a little awkward to open. I accidentally just dug my finger into Prosecco Pop when trying to open up the palette (tears!) so you just want to be careful with that.
My favorite way to use the highlighters in this palette is to mix them together. They look gorgeous on the cheeks and cheekbones, on the tip of the nose, cupids bow, and I even love dusting Prosecco Pop on my collar bones and shoulders if I am wearing a tank top. It gives you the beautiful summer glow that everyone is looking for.
When paired with Sephora’s Radiant aluminizing drops in Morning light, the duo is unbeatable in my opinion. The aluminizing drops are liquid highlighters. You can mix it in with your foundation for an allover glow, but if you have oily skin like me, it is best to place the product precisely where you want it. I start by applying my foundation and concealer, and before I go in with any powders, I use my fingertips to apply the drops on the same areas I will apply the powder highlights. I use my beauty blender to blend the drops into my skin, and then will go over those areas with a mixture of Prosecco Pop and Champagne Pop. Let’s just say that if you were standing on the moon looking at the earth and could see a beaming light nearly blinding you, that’s probably my highlight. 🙂

If you can get your hands on both of these products, I highly recommend them!
