Okay so I’m not going to lie, I’ve been showing some of these products a lot of love waaaaay before this month. However, it’s a little late in the game to be posting a 2015 Beauty Favs, and I did discover some of these products just recently. So typically I wouldn’t have this many new favorites in one month, but I just couldn’t leave anything out!
And also, can we talk about how crazy it is that it’s already the end of January?! I can’t believe we are already a whole month into the new year. How are your resolutions going? Keep them up!
So let’s just jump right into it, since I have quite a few products to share. Here are my January 2016 Beauty Favorites! I hope you enjoy!
Since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, I thought I would post a Valentine’s Day Eye Makeup tutorial on how I created this soft and sweet blush-pink eye look. It’s a look that I will probably wear on Valentine’s Day this year and I think it would look great on everyone. I used the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette to create this look. For all the years I’ve been experimenting with makeup, my lack of quality brushes is actually surprising. I’ve been living off a couple of generic brush kits that I ordered from amazon a few years ago. It was only recently that I decided it was time to get myself some nicer brushes. I chose to order some Morphe brushes because they are much more affordable than some other similar brands, but are also very high quality. Again, my skinny wallet keeps reminding me that I’m on a budget, so I only ordered five brushes I knew I could use just about every day.

It seems as though once one breakout goes away, along comes another one to replace it. I used to call each new blemish that appeared on my face my new “friend,” but now I’ve started to call them “family” as it seems they are here to stay . . . [Read more…]
I have been looking for the perfect light pink nude nail polish forever. All the ones I’ve tried were either too beige or too barbie pink, until now. Essie’s Ballet Slippers polish is my new fav. It looks so fresh and clean on the nails and I think it is a perfect all-season color. It would also look beautiful on brides. I don’t see myself putting down this polish anytime soon.
Um . . . helllllloooo, can we talk about it?! Jaclyn Hill’s collaboration with Becca Cosmetics resulted in pure magic. Champagne Pop is a creamy highlight that is perfect for so many skin tones and I have been obsessed with it ever since it was released.
Let’s face it. . . we’ve all had those mornings when the snooze button gets the best of us. Usually these days consist of me quickly throwing my hair on top of my head in a messy bun and praying for the best.
As for my makeup, I need the bare essentials to make myself look presentable in under five minutes.
Here are the 5 Products That’ll Get You Ready In Under 5 Minutes.
Let the countdown begin.
How To Stay Moisturized This Winter
As we are in the midst of New England’s brutal winter months, it becomes almost nearly impossible for my skin to stay moisturized. My hands, legs, and lips especially, need a ton of extra moisture during this season. Here are the products I use to help avoid winter dryness.
This year I’ve come to discover the only two products I need to control my oily skin. I will say, in the winter my skin tends to be dryer, but in the summer time, I’m a greasy mess. These two products combine to keep my face looking matte all day long.
