Since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, I thought I would post a Valentine’s Day Eye Makeup tutorial on how I created this soft and sweet blush-pink eye look. It’s a look that I will probably wear on Valentine’s Day this year and I think it would look great on everyone. I used the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette to create this look. There is a step-by-step guide below, so if you would like to recreate this look, feel free to follow along!
Here is the palette I used to create this look. I labeled the shades I used, but you could definitely swap in similar shadows that you already own if you don’t want to purchase this palette.
First, I used my Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Skin Concealer to conceal any discoloration on my lids. I buffed in the concealer with my Beauty Blender and set the concealer with my Makeup Forever HD Pressed Powder. Setting your eye base will ensure that your shadows blend smoothly and seamlessly.
Next, I used a fluffy crease brush to apply the shade Limit all over the crease. You can be kinda messy with this step, just make sure to blend, blend, blend! I took a denser crease brush to apply Nooner and Factory directly into the crease. I tried to be more precise with these shades, as well as keep them lower on the lid since they are darker shades. If you blend dark shades too far up toward your brow, you can look like you have a bruised eye, and we don’t want that! I blended these shades as well. If you are curious about what brushes I love for blending, check out My Favorite Morphe Brushes post that went up a few days ago!
I then applied the shade Dust all over the lid with a flat shader brush. I got the brush wet with some eye drops to make the shade appear more metallic, as well as reduce the amount of fallout. I packed this color on pretty heavily. I then blended out the edges with my crease brush to avoid any harsh lines.
I applied the shade Strange under the brow and on the inner corner of the eye to brighten the look up. I then lined my eyes with Maybeline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner. I winged it out to add a bit of drama, but if you’re not comfortable with winged liner, any type of liner will work just fine! I also added a few coats of my Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Mascara and my Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.
Here is the completed look! I hope you enjoyed!
